What is known
Marshal Nacre is a broad, powerful squid-like officer from Cleftwater Steps, built in a dense downward silhouette of hooded head, stern eyes, thick central mantle and several muscular arms marked with pale suckers. They appear to spend ordinary days working the tidal stairs and canal landings where smugglers try to exploit changing water levels, checking cargo, blocking passage with sheer presence and hauling lawbreakers out of places that looked impassable a moment earlier.
