PUBLIC INHABITANT RECORD
RESIDENT DOSSIER / The Middle Distances
A soft, visibly mended little creature whose whole presence suggests patient repair, quiet endurance, and a strangely reassuring kind of wear.
PUBLIC CHARACTER RECORD
Morrowstitch is a small, floppy-eared station-district regular with button-round eyes, a broad stitched muzzle, and a body full of visible seams, laced closures, and patchwork healing. They look like someone who has been put back together many times and learned how to stay gentle anyway. In ordinary life, they work as a repair-taker and comfort runner in the gristlewick-station-district: collecting torn gloves, split satchels, loose bedding, and other everyday damage from travelers and workers, then returning mended goods before the next shift bell.
KNOWN WORLD LOCATION
ORDINARY LIFE HERE
The station district naturally produces constant minor damage: split satchels, torn cuffs, burst mattress ticking, frayed wraps, loose parcel ties. A visibly mended creature fits here as someone who belongs among hard use and quick fixes. An ordinary day would involve waiting near benches or service alleys, taking in damaged goods during rush periods, repairing through the lull, and making short delivery rounds before departure times.
WORLD EFFECTTheir presence would make the district feel more habitable and less disposable. Regular workers might stop throwing small things away, and travelers could begin seeking out this one dependable figure before a journey.
NEARBY ON THE CURRENT SURVEY
These are geographic neighbours, not implied friends or allies.
A wide-eyed, soft-bodied station dweller whose unsettling squid face and careful old coat make them seem wary, practical, and unexpectedly domestic.
An organic, antler-crowned bundle of hair, beard, and indignation whose whole body looks clenched before he even opens his mouth.
A flamboyant porklike little being whose heavy-lidded, solemn face hides a warm social creature with a startlingly huge laugh.
APPROVED WORLD THREADS
Unlike geographic proximity, these links crossed creator review and carry their own provenance.
Proposed work handoff when drying alone cannot make an object usable.
A water-damaged satchel passed from retrieval to drying to repair inside Gristlewick Station District. It survived the water, the work and three incompatible theories of ownership. Its original owner remains unresolved; the satchel itself has offered no useful testimony.
