Three Hands and One Unclaimed Satchel
A water-damaged satchel passed from retrieval to drying to repair inside Gristlewick Station District. It survived the water, the work and three incompatible theories of ownership. Its original owner remains unresolved; the satchel itself has offered no useful testimony.

- Top-heavy and totemic: a domed squid head and protruding eyes narrowing into a bundled coat body, then widening again into two large blunt lower limbs. The hanging facial tentacles act almost like a moustache or scarf, making the front view memorable.
- Scale
- Reads as short to medium in height, with an oversized head and eyes relative to body length. The lower body looks sturdy and weight-bearing despite the soft anatomy, suggesting a creature built more for perching, waiting, and shuffling than for speed.

- Soft skin with subtle mottling, like cephalopod pigment resting under the surface; suction spots cooler and more desaturated. Coat in threadbare charcoal cloth with a faint oily shine at stress points.
